All applicants to the College of Nursing Traditional and Second Career/Second Degree programs must:

  • Be eligible for admission to Wayne State University.
  • Submit a College of Nursing and WSU Undergraduate Admission application and all supporting documents, including completion of English Proficiency requirement, by March 31.
  • Show evidence of completion of the prerequisites below with a grade of "C" or better ("C-" does not qualify) by June 1.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 grade point average in prerequisite courses to be eligible for consideration for admission. Admission to the College of Nursing is highly competitive.
  • Contact the College of Nursing, at (313) 577-4082 for more information.
  • A maximum of 64 semester hours from a two-year college or colleges will apply towards the bachelor's degree.

 


Pre-Nursing Requirements:

The following course requirements must be completed before students can be considered for admission to the Fall term Traditional Program and CD2 Program in the College of Nursing. Students who are RN's and are completing their BSN at Wayne State University are admitted directly to the College of Nursing, but also must complete the course requirements listed below as part of their degree.
